日本マイクロソフトは2013年6月13日、Surface RTを期間限定で1万円値下げすることを発表した。
6月14日から7月14日までの1ヶ月間限定で各モデルを1万円値下げする。
Microsoft Storeでの価格で32GBモデルが49,800円から39,800円へ、64GBモデルが57,800円から47,800円へと値下げされる。
Surface RTはOSにWindows RTが採用されたタブレットで、同社のSurface Proのようにフル機能のWindows 8が動作するわけではないので、安いからといって飛びつくのは早計だ。
もちろん、欲しかった方には今がチャンスと言える。
キャンペーンサイトではSurfaceのライバルのiPad(セルラー版)や64GBとの価格比較し、iPadより安いとしている。

A tablet that has been adopted in Windows RT OS, Windows 8 full-featured does not necessarily work as Surface Pro the company’s Surface RT.
