YouTubeは2015年10月21日、有料版のYouTube Redを10月28日から開始することを発表した。
YouTube Redは月に9.99ドル支払う事で広告がなくなり、動画をオフライン視聴できるようになり、バックグラウンド再生にも対応する。
また、YouTube Redのオリジナルシリーズも始まり、YouTuberのScare PewDiePie、Sing It!、Later Team、A Trip to Unicorn Island、Untitled Joey Graceffa project、360 Project、Single by 30、Untitled CollegeHumor project、Fight of the Living Dead、I Am Tobuscusが新作を提供する。
