ASUSは2011年5月30日、Computex 2011に合わせて発表会を開催し、いくつかの新製品を発表したが、今回の目玉がタブレットとスマートフォンが一体化するPadfone。
タブレットの背面にスマートフォン用のドッグがあり、ドッグの中にスマートフォンを収納してタブレットとして使う事も、スマートフォンだけ取り出して使う事も出来る。
発売時期や価格など詳細は不明だが、タブレットのスマートフォンの融合製品として注目だ。
