インテルは2011年4月27日、IDF 2011北京で公開されたAtom Z670などを説明する中で、WiDiのアップデートについてもデモを実施した。
WiDiはPCから無線LAN経由で通常のTVなどにPC画面を転送する技術で、Windowsからみると、モニターが追加されたようにみえる。
従来のWiDiは著作権保護されたコンテンツの再生には対応していなかったが、最新版(2.1)ではBlu-rayなどのHDCPで保護されたコンテンツ転送に対応する。
