レノボは2010年10月7日、ThinkPadの販売数が6,000万台を突破したことを発表した。
現在1分間に14台以上のThinkPadが販売されており、10月5日には1992年にThinkPadが誕生してから18年にもなっている。
これを記念したセール及び、ユーザー向けイベントも開催される。
